The State of Arizona requires that all dealers maintain bonds of various limits for the protection of consumers. The bonds guarantee that the dealers will provide a legal title to all vehicles and comply with all aspects of the relevant laws and procedures including payment of title fees, taxes and other items collected from the consumer.
The current bond limits are $20,000 for Recylers, $50,000 for Wholsalers and $100,000 for New & Used Dealers. Annual bond rates are based upon credit standing and experience of the applicants starting at 1% of bond limit.
